Our Gender Reveal

July 10, 2017

Intentions.

I had a LOT of intentions prior to making our move out of Seattle. And a LOT of them didn’t end up coming to fruition. I had a long list of “last” hikes, trips, dinners, brunches, get togethers… you get the idea. But as we all know, time flies. Especially during the summer when the sun finally decides to show it’s beautiful face and all I wanted to do was go on nice long walks and read in the rose garden by our house.

So, I haven’t been beating myself up about not getting every single last thing in. I did my best and I thoroughly enjoyed my last couple of weeks in Seattle. Nate was even able to come back for a few days to enjoy them together.

One big thing that was definitely on my list of intentions was getting the rest of our gender reveal photos posted. I mean, I’ve had them for at least 3 weeks now! Oops. Well, better late than never, (maybe) here are the rest of the photos by Sea Waltman Photography. Chantal was absolutely wonderful. At the time I think she was about 38 weeks pregnant and that didn’t slow her down one bit! #goals I loved how they turned out as well. We were able to get a couple of photos of us in our neighborhood that we love so much which we will definitely cherish.

Even up until that last week before the gender reveal, I wasn’t sure if we were going to make it happen. We were in the middle of moving out of our house and Nate had to fly out literally hours later. I also had ongoing feelings of doubt that anyone would even care to come. Why would anyone care to come to our house to find out, with us, if we are having a girl or a boy?? Then I decided, it was worth it. We’ve been waiting for this and now the time is here so let’s live it up!

So we spent way too much money on food and drinks and had to rent tables and chairs since our house was literally empty. But we did it. And it WAS worth it. It was so fun to see friends and family and all find out together that we are having a girl. We FaceTimed with family on the east coast who stayed up and waited to find out with us. It was such a special night for us. Definitely a night I won’t be forgetting about any time soon.

Here are the rest of the photos. The decor came from my favorite little party store in Wichita, Love of Character. Mary was an absolute lifesaver when I waited until the last minute to have the party and then realized I could NOT find the party supplies I wanted in Seattle! Hard to believe, I know, but seriously her shop is exactly what I needed. Thankfully she sells online too!  She got everything together for me so quick and I had it in plenty of time for the party.

So without further ado (aka more rambling from me) here are the rest of our gender reveal photos:
